The end of March A commercial traveller called on a grocer named March with the news that on the1st of April the price of tea was going up. A few days later yet another called to say that the price of sugar was going up as from 1st of April. To cap it all the landlord called to say that as from 1st of April the rent would also be going up. Without further ado, the grocer put a sign in his window saying "the 1st of April will be the end of March".
